TIMBALAND REPORTEDLY PRODUCING SONGS FOR POSTHUMOUS AaLIYAH ALBUM…
Timbaland will reportedly be involved in the upcoming posthumous Aaliyah album, news that should provide some solace to fans who were upset by the new Aaliyah song released late Sunday by Drake and his producer Noah “40” Shebib.
MADE TV cites a confidential source close to the project who says Timbo has so far produced two songs for it, with much of the rest being handled by Shebib.
Drake is working with Aaliyah’s record label Blackground Records as executive producer of the new album, news that crystallized for the public soon after Sunday’s release of “Enough Said,” on which he is featured with the late chanteuse.
Informed in April of Drizzy’s plan to take on the project, Timbaland was clear that there is a right way and a wrong way to go about it.
“I know they trying to drop some Aaliyah records, but if [Drake] do it, it should be with me and him, and Missy,” he said. “I don’t know what’s going on. The proper way to do that would be for me, him and Missy to be all on the record. For it to be on his record, that would not be right.”
Missy hasn’t yet commented on the situation and her involvement in the project is unclear… Giztzzz… madetv!
