NATE DOGG's FAMILY BATTLE FOR RIGHTS TO ESTATE…

nate doggThere’s friction in the house of Nate Dogg as the late singer’s kids are fighting to claim their inheritance. Nate never wrote a will, and now his kids are saying their father’s wife may cut them out of the picture.

The hip hop singer’s widow, Latoya Calvin, was put in charge of Nate’s estate after the star’s death on March 15, 2011 and recently requested that his mother, Ruth Holmes, be named as an administrator as well. But Nate’s daughter, Aundrane Hale, argues that neither Calvin nor Holmes should be trusted with the responsibility. When Calvin was first named executor, Hale lobbied to have her replaced by an attorney, and now she says that Grandma Ruth won’t look out for her and her siblings either.

“Ruth doesn’t have my best interest or the interest of my brothers and sisters,” she said.

Hale says she and her siblings aren’t likely to get anything if Calvin and Holmes remain in charge. As evidence that her stepmother and grandmother don’t have their hearts in the right place, Hale offers that Calvin “didn’t even show up to Nate’s funeral” and says that Holmes “was never a grandmother” and has previously withheld money from the kids.
