PRIMARY WITNESS IN C-MURDER CASE SAYS HE FABRICATED HIS STATEMENT….

A witness who testified against C-Murder in his homicide case is now recanting the story. Witness Kenneth Jordan says he lied against the rapper, whose real name is Corey Miller, stating that he shot and killed a 16-year-old outside of Platinum Club in Harvey, Louisiana in 2002.

A report from WDSU in New Orleans shares that Smith said: “I can no longer live with knowing that Corey Miller is sitting in jail for something he did not do because of my fabricated statement.

“I know the individual that I saw shoot the gun was not Corey Miller,” Smith stated to the 24th Judicial District Court.

Attorney Paul Baker also spoke on the witness sharing that detectives and prosecutors were influential in the fabricated statement. Jordan was threatened with criminal charges from a different incident if he didn’t make the statement against Miller.

“He was really their star witness at the second trial. Without him, him they don’t get a conviction,” said Baker.

C-Murder is currently serving a life sentence in the Louisiana State Penitentiary at Angola. He was sentenced in August of 2009 for the death of 16-year-old, Steven Thomas. Attorney Baker has filed a memorandum requesting a new trial for Miller.

Earlier this year, C-MURDER was on a hunger strike in Angola State Prison to protest the inhumane conditions and the mistreatment of inmates. The strike is believed to be successful as he shared that “things are moving right along.” After the visit, his brother Master P stated that he was in good spirits and aimed to make his case and life an example of unnecessary justice.
