New revelations have been popping up since that so-called “mayweather fight” between Mannyayw Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather went down in May. From Pacman’s shoulder injury to the stripping of Mayweather’s WBO championship belt to the Money Team leader now coming under fire for allegedly receiving banned IV fluids pre-fight.

According to mAdE t.V the pound-for-pound champ took an “intravenous injection of saline and vitamins that was banned under World Anti-Doping Agency guideline” on the eve of the fight. Mayweather also reportedly received an exemption from the United States Anti-Doping Agency three weeks later.

However, the Athletic Commission executive director Bob Bennett says that only the commission, not the USADA, has the authorization to grant an athlete exemption. While the substances were not WADA banned, the act of Mayweather taking them intravenously without consent prior to the bout is a problem.
