WITNESSES SAY MASTER P's BROTHER "C-MURDER" IS INNOCENT…
New details have emerged in the murder case that landed rapper C-Murder behind bars for life. Two witnesses who were at the nightclub where the No Limit rep allegedly fatally shot the 16-year-old victim say that C-Murder was not involved in his death, according to mAdE t.V sources.
C-Murder, born Corey Miller, is currently serving life at the Louisiana State Penitentiary after being convicted of second-degree murder in 2009. Miller was accused of killing 16-year-old Steve Thomas in 2002.
Defense attorney Rachel Connor is challenging his conviction and claiming that he did not get a fair trial. Connor filed court documents on Monday (July 20) saying that one of the witnesses, Tim Bush, a former San Antonio Spurs player, could have testified to C-Murder’s innocence. Bush was reportedly contacted by a defense attorney in 2014 and said that he saw another man enter Harvey nightclub and shoot at Thomas. Bush never spoke to police.
“Mr. Bush has felt bad about not coming forward given that he knows Corey Miller did not shoot that young man,” Connor wrote in the court documents. “Given his sports career, he just did not want to get involved.”
Connor claims that the two witnesses that identified Miller as the killer “had been threatened by law enforcement, had serious potential criminal charges resolved and had to be arrested under material witness warrants in order to ensure their appearance,” according to court documents.
Connor is also investigating a few other concerns regarding the trial, including the competency of one juror, the abuse of discretion by the trial judge and juror misconduct during deliberations.
