One person was killed this morning and another injured after shots were fired at French Montana’s tour bus outside of a Holiday Inn in Philadelphia overnight.

Authorities say the rapper and his entourage were hanging out with fans when someone drove by and opened fire. A 27-year-old man was shot in the stomach, according to NBC Philadelphia. He was rushed to Hahnemann University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.  The other person was hit in the shoulder by a bullet but has been listed in stable condition.

Three people were taken into custody for carrying guns; investigators say that someone inside the bus returned fired after the initial shots rang out. So far, the police haven’t located the drive-by shooter.

Authorities said they didn’t believe Montana or his crew were specifically targeted by the shooting, and that neither of the victims was connected to the rapper. French had just returned from performing at a concert in town when the shooting happened…                        Giztzzz…                      madetv!

Two fans were shot outside of French Montana’s tour bus after an unidentified shooter opened fire following the rapper’s performance at the Theatre of Living Arts in Philadelphia. One victim of the drive-by, a 27-year-old male, was killed after a blow to the stomach, while another is in stable condition after being shot in the shoulder. Both men were reported fans of French, who were hanging outside of the venue when the shooting took place.

According to reports, police have already begun an investigation, questioning 25 people in total including French and his entourage. Three people were arrested for gun possession. Reports also
indicate that someone opened fire on the drive-by shooter from inside of the rapper’s tour bus. Police do not believe the shooting was intended for French, and neither victim had any personal connections
to him.

This shooting eerily follows a drive-by attempt made on Rick Ross in Florida on Jan 28. French, who was with Ross at the time of the incident, told MTV News that it made him more aware.

“I was with him that night. It was his birthday at Club Liv. I was like the last person that walked him to the car before he drove off,” he said. “When it’s your birthday, you think everybody loves you. You’re not thinking nothing of it … You just always gotta protect yourself.”

No suspects have been named in either shooting at this time
