GUNPLAY ARMED ROBBERY CASE DISMISSED…

Rick Ross-affiliated rapper Gunplay will not face charges for the alleged armed robbery surveillance cameras caught him committing last fall. Footage showing the rapper, born Richard Morales, robbing accountant Turron Woodside at gunpoint could not stop the case from being dismissed by the Miami-Dade court…

“Video alone is not enough to convict an individual of a crime beyond a reasonable doubt,” said the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office. “Although the armed robbery is captured on the victim’s surveillance system, the victim, Turron Woodside, is uncooperative of the prosecution of this defendant Richard Morales [Gunplay].”

Gunplay was in high spirits when he learned the news, saying… “Today I am grateful and blessed that the case was dismissed … I plan on picking up where I left off with my music and making hits with my upcoming debut album.” He continued by sharing his plans to “smoke a joint, relax, play video games, and just be with my loved ones” with his freedom.

The charges of armed robbery and aggravated assault could not be taken forward without the cooperation of Woodside, whose confirmation is needed to have the surveillance footage filed as evidence. The State Attorney’s office subpoenaed Woodside but couldn’t serve him because they were unable to locate him. Family and co-workers reportedly told the court “he’s out of town and/or coping with a family death.”

Authorities accused Gunplay of robbing Woodside of a cellphone and gold chain at gunpoint in the fall of 2012. Gunplay’s debut album, Medellín, is expected to be released in the second quarter of 2013…         Giztzzz…     madetv!
